The original Pirates of the Caribbean. The Pirates of the Caribbean opened on March 16, 1967. The ride at Disneyland was the last ride that Walt Disney worked on. He passed away three months before it opened. The Pirates of the Caribbean has been a favorite for many. Its popularity and influence has lead the similar versions in Florida, Tokyo, Paris, and the newest and most updated version in Shanghai Disneyland.

- The ride is 15:30 minutes long.
- One boat can hold 20-24 guests.
- There are 119 audio-animatronics (no I have not counted!)
